Priscilla, for some reason I can't get the audio to play.... it's just a black line on my screen with no play button. How to get it to work?
ReplyDeleteI don't often post but I really enjoy your stick figures and cartoons! :)
Laurel,
ReplyDeleteoh poooh. I don't know. It's working for others. Can you try a different browser? I'll think if there's anything else that might be mucking with it. And you are even mentioned in this one!
best,
Priscilla
p.s. It also occurs to me that I can email it to you if we can't figure it out. But figuring out would be best.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Priscilla. Silly me... why didn't I think of trying it on another browser? Got it to work on IE. Loved it! You have a very soothing voice. Loved all your thoughts and agree with all you said, and was so honored to have been mentioned. Enjoyed the bird song in the background as you spoke as well. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt was great hearing your voice. I was wondering, are you able to read a lot?
ReplyDeleteMichelle: I can read a little, in my worst years not really at all. I use audio books. That helps.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed... people should learn to stop the madness and observe... enjoy the simple pleasures... be grateful for each breath. Beautiful podcast, Priscilla. And so inspiring. Gentle hugs going out your way... and much love ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Priscilla,
ReplyDeleteI loved listening to this post. I have severe ME/CFS and POTS and am pretty much confined to bed. I'm always trying to work out how to cope mentally with severe limitations. I think not being able to change one's environment by going out and about is one of the things I find hardest. Your reminder of paying attention to the richness of small experiences is very welcome, and it's a great comfort to know that other people are dealing with this kind of situation (and dealing with it so gracefully).
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I enjoy your blog a lot but not sure if I've commented before...
Take care xx
Really loved listening to this, and like Laurel, feel honoured to have been mentioned. How to survive mentally is something I think a lot about. Until I finally had access to broadband internet I didn't really encounter anyone else in a situation similar to mine. I still find it remarkable that there are others out there and how much commonality of experience there is. For me it's fascinating to hear how others approach their situation. Thanks for sharing. You mentioned enjoying taking your socks off...I like running my finger tips over surfaces, feeling different textures.
ReplyDeleteGreenwords: Yes, textures, an accessible form of pleasure. My ipod shuffle is a favorite for lovely textures. I don't use it much now that I have a nano and I miss it for that.
ReplyDeleteAmy: thanks for giving some energy to commenting; it's lovely to know you've been here.
